2009.....thanksgiving......so yes the taylor's did make a major decision and take the river place off the market....it has been up for two years now and we have even turned down a few offer's, yeah we would like to kick ourselves in the pants for those smart decisions, but we are not looking back only forward and how much fun our lil guy's will have on the lake just as our lil girl's did back in the day.......mikey told one of our river neighbor's " we are going to start over just like were 18 again", only problem i have with that is our body's are not.....no more seadoo for this grandma......!!so we are looking to buy a new boat and checking into how big a new trailer we can get in our space, but until then we will just enjoy what God has blessed us with, and that is just what we did over this past holiday....the boy's really loved cruz 'n the park, which brought back fond memories of the girls and, the hundred's of hour's they spent going in circles around the park, doing what girl's like to do best...chase boy's, .......opi took the boy's fishing and they even caught a few....of course they threw them back as they aren't anything ya wan ta eat.....the girl's spent lot of time basking in the sun and enjoying each other's company, and as for me i spent my time pain free and chilling ...... i am thankful to GOD for the amazing family he has blessed me with and the time he has given me to enjoy them!!!!!!
ps...sorry no pictures as i left my camera their in havasu :(

Venting!!!!
warning: if you continue to read this post it may be very harmful to just how sweet you thought i was!
i am finding the need to vent...so vent i must.
what propels young mom's and dad's to drag out their sick children in public. where has their GOD given common sense gone?, i know they started out with it.........i ask you? what is more important then the well being of a child....NOTHING!!!!!! little clue for ya! when your kid is hacking up a lung and yellow snot is running from their nose to their mouth, it is a nice warm bed they need to be in , not the supermarket, movie theater or sunday school or disneyland. really? is your life that busy or important that you forgot that when you are sick all you want to do is climb into your bed and sleep....well here's another little clue for you ....so does your sick child......do us all a favor and help us avoid what could be a potential hospital stay, and keep your children home when they are sick....................

A new little life ...a boy or girl? God has blessed the Spencer's...I pray it's a curl!
thoughts of pink are swirling about my head, as i play toy cars, firetrucks of red, and have been climb on this morning as if a bed. dollies, tea parties and sitting real sweet as i fix her bow
just perfectly neat. then out of the blue three monkey's appear, sly grins on their face's from ear to ear, now i quickly remember what i've known all these years .....a child 's a blessing no matter the gender, a present so sweet , so warm, so tender, a perfect gift from above to love and adore , bless GOD for knowing we needed lots more.......!

FRUSTRATION!!!!
There is only one way to eat a elephant: a bite at a time. Maybe you know this already. I didn't-
until Beverly Johnson told the world after she, the first woman to do so alone, reached the top of thirty-six hundred feet high El Captain in Yosemite National Park, California.
"That's what I kept saying, "A bite at a time, a bite at a time....., " the smiling Beverly said of her ten-day struggle up the gigantic granite mass that rises unbroken from the Yosemite Valley.
We can all "eat elephants" by Beverly's formula, can't we? It makes little difference whether
it's all the things we have to accomplish, a physical condition we have to live with, financial challenges, loved ones who are facing illness's. ( Fill in the frustration or frustration's you are dealing with in your life's) Her reasoning works.
Haven't you often wished, as she did, that you could magically leave your problems? Most of us feel that way, but the world doesn't stop for us to get off. We dig in with whatever equipment we have; we work our way up slowly; and, remember this: We have the solid Rock to lean upon!
GOD is always there.
Have I not commanded you! Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your GOD will be with you wherever you go.

God...I know there is a lesson here...but why me?
(note: to make it easier...i only type in lower case)
- ok, i really am convinced i have some sort of aura about myself that attracts others who are boundary challenged within five miles, and this summer it has never been more apparent............, it doesn't matter where i am, i can always point out the person or persons whom will find there way next to me, only to invade my personal space. most times i find it pretty amusing and down right interesting, to say the least, saturday was no exception.....here's the story (and i'm sticking to it). saturday morning i was picked up by my eldest daughter and her two kiddlets, they arrived promptly at 8am, everyone in the best of birthday spirits and after a little (ok LOT) of rearranging of the back of her car, to pile in all i would need for a fun filled day and night in the oc, at our fav-o-rite beach and bbq pit, we were off ....we made great time and arrived in dana point close to 9am, only to be sent packing, as all the fire pits had been gone hour's ago. after the initial surprise and disappointment, we gained our composer and good spirits, made a quick phone call to my youngest daughter and her hubby and kiddlet, who were on the road a half a hour behind us, to let them know we were changing destinations, and if they were closer to hit huntington to secure a fire ring and we would head to corona del mar, being early we felt one of us was going to get that convented fire ring, at one of the three beaches .....for sure. well minutes later a call came in letting us know that all southern californians were at the beach today and that all the fire pits were gone at both huntington's, and they would run down to sunset and we should hit crystal cove and check out if they even had fire pits . by now it is going on 11:00 am and panic has set in, not to mention the lovely moods from the kiddlets in the backseat who have now been trapped for more then 3 hours with no food or drinks. after trying corona del mar, crystal cove, both huntington's again, the dog beach, balsa chica, sunset and seal beach,.... we settled on sunset , only to park, drag our self's and some of our belongings to the beach and quickly realize why we don't ever come to this part of the ocean....it stinks.....really stinks ( x10 ) like all of california's waste is being dumped in this part of the ocean.....so back to the car lugging all our junk and off to huntington we head, fire ring long forgotten. paid our 12 parking fee and started to look for a open place to park that wasn't in the north forty as we had allot to unpack and haul. ok ..that didn't happen and we soon found our self getting a refund and heading south on 101, it is now noon and the remaining lone kiddo in the backseat(t- bailed hour's ago to hang with his aunt and uncle when we hooked up at smelly beach,as their group was/seemed to be in a better mood then ours) has been repeating how hungry and thirsty his is over and over and over, we spotted the " shake shack" and in we pulled, much to our surprise it was not crowded and we were even able to secure a table in the shade (score), we got some tuna sandwiches and chocolate malts and just as things were starting to look up, the place was over run with tourist whom liked our spot and started crowding in on us, one gentleman even started to throw away my food when i got up for a moment to look out at the view.....of course, my eldest put them in there place and they quickly retreated, but just for a minute. with the crowds moving in we thought it best to get our self to a beach...fast.... so back to crystal cove we headed. upon arrival we were told it was a pretty steep hike down to the beach and they didn't think a toddler could make it. well our thinking was if a toddler would have trouble making it so would the crowd , after no less then a twenty minute wait for a parking spot we were out of the car and loaded up with only the necessity( way to much cr__),down the hill we went......(it took three trips in all to get all we would need to chill-lax in the sun) much to our surprise it was a beautiful beach and although it was full it wasn't that crowded. we set up the kids sun shelter and chairs and umbrella's, beach toys, blankets etc... thoughts of chilling with a good magazine and arnold palmer (NA of course) were quickly replaced with fear, as i looked up the cliff in front of me and spotted ...a man and his wife, dressed in there sunday best, bags of groceries in both hands, i instantly knew....yes that right ....they had there sites set on our spot and nothing was going to deter them. they unpacked there bags, blankets, baby, right on top of us and before long they doubled and tripled and quadrupled and they were now a group of 20 plus, they had literally set there blankets on top of ours and they were co-mingling. the topper was when i glanced back from my chair to see my eldest being passed watermelon, nuts and coffee.......i guess my glares didn't work after all....i am pretty sure GOD was testing me and lets just say i don't think i got a passing grade.......i packed up all our stuff, which took like 6 trips and moved us down the beach...........it was now like 3:00 and my youngest and her crew arrived, only to have to make three trips to drag all there stuff down......... hubby and and son in law, followed shortly thereafter. and the good times rolled.....so all that for a couple hour's at the beach and a life time of memories.......:)

EVEREST aka EZ E rocks our world!!!!!
this past weekend we were able to spend lots of fun/play time with our youngest grandson everest. this lil guy blows me away with what he can do ( and believe me when i say) anything and everything he wants to.....he has more determination then any 18 month old i have ever known. If i had just a little bit of the drive and determination he does i could move mountains......thus his name EVEREST!!!! when we first learned that everest was created missing his left arm below the elbow and would not have a left hand, what came to mind was all the things he wouldn't be able to do......wow, has that made a 180, and now all i can think of is all the things EVEREST will do!!!!! he is going to bless this world like no other.........and we are just thankful we get to share in the experience...............how blessed are we!!!!

reason to celebrate for sure!!! sawyer ? (still undecided) coffman is about to make his long awaited debut....... christi has such a sweet , caring and fun-loving way about her and this lil guy is sure blossom in it. I don't know about you but i really dread all shower's in general, as they tend to be a little to stuffy for my liking and i find myself trying to avoid them at all cost. this is the second one i have attended this summer and they are starting to sway my opinion in their direction.... ..they have both been really creative, fun and yes even chillaxing...this new generation really knows how to baby shower in style, not to mention the eats...they are so unique and tasty.... kudos to best buddies, jamie (loved her house and overall style, it was so chill ) kasey, tara, elizabeth and christi's sister-n-law amy.......can't wait for the next invite....:)
YIP-PEE!!!!!
back in the saddle again!!! yep-that's right y'all... he (blaine) is back on the road (he/we had to bribe the doc ) in my opinion.....worth every buffalo nickel spent, so as they say in the bis, the show must go on, and i ....as self appointed head rodeo clown am happy to mc..........stay tune for the world's most thrilling adventures , with two of the roughest, toughest cowboys of the west (T&J)....y'all come now...y'hear!!!!

Rough-N-It !!!!
camping at serrano in big bear. it was fun to get away and live among the squirrels, birds and other unseen... but not unheard mountain critters. we stayed five days and had a few one day and overnight visitor's, amongst them the los clayton's , who came to spend one last hurrah
with the spencer 3 before they took off to oregon. keith is an awesome outdoors men and taylor
took to him from the minute he step into camp. keith took him under his wing and taught taylor
to skate board,( the new fishing for the younger generation) which is big for taylor as he seems to shy away from activies that can cuz fear, so to see him ripping down the trails was something special. blaine came up for a day and then returned with tara to spend the night and take in our last campfire and s'mores. now that i am home and have showered the last of the dirt off, i cannot wait to do it again soon, not so sure about the rest of the crew but i love, love, love camping and all the hassel that comes along with it. hummm...where can i stake my tent next........?

how sweet is it, that our beloved laker's ROCKED last night and one of are all time fav's ,
Fish#2 tore up the floor and they are crediting him with the win!!!! and to top it off in his after game interview he credited his efforts on his faith and the fact that everyone he knew and everyone from his home state were praying for him,(yeah baby...the power of prayer) and of course kobe, ariza, gasol and odom played there hearts out...what a game, at one point i had to take a walk so i didn't freak out as i found myself hyperventilating and returned just as fish made his three pointer that saved the game and took us into overtime ( i had to take a hit off my breather), then mike had to take a walk when the first minute into overtime the magic's scored a three pointer.....but that just set the laker's on fire and kobe and fish made two more three point baskets and we kicked magic's boo tie...oh yeah ....i am still basking in the glory!!!! join me won't ya!!!!!!ps, sunday is game six and our chance to bring home the trophy we so deserve. i am working on mikey letting me go to the parade as he talked me out of it last time and i have lived with regret . but life is to short and i'm to old, so i am not listen to him this year. GO LAKER'S it's your birthday!!!!

omg!!! (oh my gosh!!!) i am so behind on blogging...someone (tara cauthron) even questioned me and mel "why we even had blogs if we weren't going to keep up with our posting anyway"
....so of course i always follow all the advise from of our eldest ;), thus i am going to shove a couple months into one big or kinda big post. life has been full to say the least .....:
myself and J-ster have acquired disney passes and have become frequent visitor's to both parks (this is a tradition i will do with all the boy's while they are pre-schooler's). to say mickey is J-ster's favorite cartoon figure is a understatement, he lovessssssssss him!!!!!!!! so these visits are of the utmost fun, he is in awe of all his large blue peepers can take in, he is always on his best behavior and loves to snack as much as me,we have a total blast!!! it's like being a kid all over again and again...even if it is only until i hit the parking lot and realize i have to battle two hours of rush hour traffic, with J-ster fast asleep!! making me long for days gone bye !!!!!
mother's day was such a special weekend, thanks to linda and kent (spencer) they invited mike,me, the girls, guys and kidos down to one of their time share's where they used two of there saved trips so we could all stay together side by side in two new lavish condos and if that wasn't enough, linda and kent went ahead of us and they placed vases of fresh flower through out, they put together gift baskets full of special romantic treat's in each bedroom and bought yummy treat's to eat and drink , toy basket's for the boy's.and made us feel like queen's for the weekend. we love kent and linda, they are two of the nicest people ever, the most thoughtful couple we know, they are so kick back and fun to be around and it is always a good time..... just hanging.....!!! Thank you kent and linda!!!!
well sad to say another memorial came and went without a trip to our river pad as it is still in limbo land ........it wouldn't be as painful if the boat hadn't sold just one week after we put them both up for sale because at least we would still be able to hang at the river, but going without a boat...yeah not so much ! ! i am still not sure how mike and the girls got me to go along with selling, as i love the river and the memories we have made there but it seems it became to much work for everyone. somehow that's not how i saw it, it was worth every minute of hassle even putting up with the crazies (after all we use to be amongst the worst of them) didn't bother me!...so again we spent another memorial weekend (that's two now!) at home and had the family over on saturday to take in some food, fun and sun, the boy's and opi will literally stay in the pool they entire day and have to be pulled out kicking and screaming and then only to ask how long after they eat do they have to wait until they can go back in. that pool was the best investment ever...and to think they all thought i was nuts as the pool is literally the back yard. looks like it is going to be another hot summer at omi/opi :) yessssss.....!!!!
it cannot be true!!!! tara and blaine have some how managed to sneak in ten year's of marriage on us and in today's world that is something to be very proud of (sad but true) they are such an awesome couple and the love and respect they have for each other is so special to witness and a blessing to us all. they have been together for 15 years now and we can still remember the first time we met our blaineeeee, he was so cute....with the prettiest blue eye's ever, such a sweety, very outgoing and witty and had such character for a 16 year old, he stole all our hearts and it has been love ever since...he is the son we always prayed for, he just came partly grown. all he needed was a little taylor tweaking :).....!!!!!
today was a mile stone in the life of J-ster as his omi was finally able to cohere his mother into letting her take him for his first professional haircut ( something i have been working on for months and it was beginning to look very bleak) with the promise of over seeing the barber and not letting them "hack it up", just a small trim.... think faux-hawk, ok so with that i had her blessing's and off we went......well after consulting with the barber she knew just the look i desired and assured me that she could produce the results we were looking for.....well all i can say is i don't think i will ever get to take j-ster for another haircut......the baby is gone and i delivered home a lil boy who looks just like his daddy!!!!!! how could a mother not love that!!! ok so now i will be known as omi the baby stealer............!!!!!!!! but know it had to happen, if not me, someone else.....or not!!!! but what is .....is..... ;).....!!!!! does it make it any easier....nope!!!!!ok so i learned my meaning of faux hawk and someone with a razor in their hand may not always be the same. lesson learned!!! thank gosh it hair and it grows..........;)
